About Dr. Alcy Vilas Boas Jr.
Knee Surgery Specialist with 30 Years of Experience
I have over 30 years of experience as a knee surgery specialist, having performed over 9,000 surgical procedures. I graduated in Medicine from PUC-PR in 1991, followed by a residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Hospital Universitário Cajuru. I completed a doctorate at Charité University in Berlin, focusing on biological treatments for knee cartilage injuries.
I honed my skills in a knee surgery fellowship in Lyon, France, and at the Alpha Klinik in Munich, Germany, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. J. Toft. I received recognition from the Bavarian Chamber of Physicians and validated my diploma both in Bavaria and Portugal.
In addition to my clinical practice, I founded the Knee Surgery Group at Hospital Universitário Cajuru and the Orthofit clinic in Curitiba. I continuously seek updates and new knowledge to offer the best possible care to my patients, with gratitude for every opportunity along my medical journey.

Today, with just one click, it is possible to access consultations with renowned specialists from anywhere in the world, eliminating the need for physical travel in search of qualified professional opinions in various areas of medicine.
Over many years dedicated to medicine, I have had the opportunity to personally attend to my patients, conducting consultations, surgeries, and various therapies directly in my office. This in-person experience was crucial in building a solid foundation of knowledge and empathy, elements that I consider essential in medical practice.
However, recognizing the constant evolution of medicine and the new possibilities that open up with telemedicine, I have decided to embark on a new phase in my career.
From now on, my consultations will be conducted exclusively through telemedicine. This decision was motivated by the desire to expand my ability to assist, offering my opinion and accumulated experience to clarify doubts and guide in the treatment of pathologies, regardless of the geographical location of my patients.
This new format of care not only reflects the modernization of healthcare services but also reaffirms my commitment to providing high-quality medical care, support, and guidance, adapting to current needs and possibilities.

You have already visited an orthopedist or knee specialist who performed physical examinations and requested additional tests such as X-rays and MRI scans. Follow these steps:

Scheduling
Click on "Schedule Appointment" on my personal page. You will be automatically redirected to the virtual clinic website, where you can find the available dates for future appointments. Select the desired date and follow the instructions to enter your personal information. It's quite simple.
Appointment
We will send the access link to the teleconsultation via email or WhatsApp. On the day of the appointment, a few minutes before your scheduled time, please access the link provided by us. Once you click on the link, you will need to agree to the teleconsultation consent form. On a computer or laptop: You will automatically enter the window for the teleconsultation. Just wait for the doctor to start the consultation. On a mobile phone or tablet: Select the option "Start in web". After clicking, you will automatically enter the window for the teleconsultation. Just wait for the doctor to start the consultation.
